Campaigns and Programme Communications Manager

WWF, one of the world’s largest independent conservation organizations is looking for a highly motivated professional to join our Communications team. This new position will be critical to WWF achieving its conservation goals. Responsible for the development and implementation of campaigning and communications strategies in delivering conservation objectives, the person will lead a new team of communicators in providing support to specific conservation and education programmes. Major responsibilities of this role will include managing the entire portfolio of related communications tools and products (both online and offline), leading on public events or interventions via the media or specific stakeholder fora, and coordinating campaign efforts designed to reach, engage and mobilize the general public or relevant segments of the audience to support the organization’s policy advocacy work and for raising awareness or promoting lifestyle changes. Degree qualified, you must possess 5-8 years professional experience in mobilizing public campaigns or communications. Able to think strategically and creatively, you should be a result-orientated individual with strong interpersonal, communication, negotiating and influencing skills. A positive thinker with “can-do” attitude, you must be able to demonstrate strong staff motivation skills and be able to manage heavy workload and work under pressure. Excellent written and spoken English is a must while fluent Cantonese/Mandarin is preferable. General knowledge of conservation issues desirable.
